Steve Judge (the artist name for István Bíró) was born in 1982. His affection for music started in his early childhood although he could start exploring with a cassette player.

Then in the late 90s underground electronica entered his life – that was the point when he decided to dedicate his life to music. He started playing in a country town, Ózd, but the real career opening party happened in Cool Club around 2004-2005, where well-known names like Andrewboy, Manic N and Electro Groove played classic progressive house and techno.

Then came the legendary place Coronita in the Hajógyári Island and then nothing could stop him – electronic music claimed his soul. In a few years Steve has attended and completed DJ school in 2009, and he also studied in a producers’ course – the result was his song ‘Moving India’. The inspiration for this successful song was Mighty B’s Taj Mahal: the miraculous sounds of India that he combined with his electronic beats. The final song has been sent to many DJs.

Shiva started to play it first and later it has been released by Mighty B’s label. The real success came after Purebeat’s remix when all major clubs started to play it.

On this new level Steve started playing on shows organized by Mighty B: the first event took place in Coro Cafe, then he could conquer the stage in Dokkoló and from there the sky was the limit. By the time he started playing in Patron, he also had many shows in the countryside too, then finally he could show his talent in the biggest club of Buda side of the capital: UP! The Club.

This is the place where he is playing nowadays, nearly every weekends. Because he liked the music of Miamisoul very much, he thought that together they could create groundbreaking music. As both of their residences was Coronita they decided to form a cooperative album about this topic.

That’s how Welcome Coronita album has been born and that was the key for Steve to the Night Life organizing team. Thanks to the Coronita and Night Life, Steve is on the road week by week visiting the top clubs of Hungary and also in Slovakia. He has released his cooperative track ‘Nasty Game’ in the March of 2017 with another top Coronita DJ, Andrweboy. The well-known artist visited one of Steve’s ship parties, and after seeing the extraordinary mood there he decided to work together with him. Now they are planning a full cooperative album in the end of this year. Steve Judge is playing frequently with international acts, for example with Stefano Nofferini, Angy Core, Alberto Ruíz, Louie Cut, Daniel Aguayo, Jus Deelax, Ahmet Sendil, R3CKZET, and Mandraks. Also he has a Hungarian idol and mentor, Jay Lumen – fortunately he had a chance to play with him many times. He had the chance to play with classic names overseas too: thanks to JustMusicFM Costa Rica has discovered the Hungarian Coronita DJs. They noticed Steve because of ‘Moving India’, so in the beginning of 2017 he traveled to the middle-American country together with Andrewboy.

After the trip he stated that it was an extraordinary experience that words can’t fully describe – he was treated like a world-class superstar. He is frequeltly playing all around Europe too, for example to several cities in Germany, also Tirol and London. His next target is Malta in July. Steve Judge is a successful and renowned artist: someone who respects and loves his fans, so he is doing everything he can to provide quality sound and extraordinary shows.

He is one of us but with an outstanding musical taste: someone who is working tirelessly to promote Hungary and the local scene in the whole world.

The key to his success is the fact that he knows the taste of the audience and he loves what he does: his life is about the love of music.
